You can still get a small business expo booth for San Francisco at the highly-discounted rate of only $500. Normally, this offer includes a fully-furnished 10 ft. x 10 ft. standard booth, admittance badges for two booth personnel, as well as a full registration for the technical sessions. However, at this late date, the SCHB booth being offered is not furnished, so you would need to also add carpeting, chairs, and a table from the show vendor. This discounted booth at the ACS Expo is a member benefit available only to SCHB members. Now is the time to indicate your interest for the 2015 ACS Expos in Denver ( March 22-24 ) and Boston (August 16-18). Contact Anis Rahman expo-booth@acs-schb.org.

In San Francisco, SCHB’s Executive Committee will meet 8:00 – 11:30 AM, Sunday August 10, San Francisco Marriott Marquis, Foothill H. The meeting is open and you are cordially invited to stop by for a cup of coffee and share your opinions and/or ideas with the Executive Committee. SCHB’s Technical Program will be in Moscone South, Esplanade Ballroom 301, and begins Sunday at 1:00 P.M and concludes Tuesday at 5:00 PM. Coffee will be available at 7:45 AM on Monday and Tuesday. SCHB likes to have a “greeter” at each session, to stand by the door and usher attendees in the room, answer questions, assist the presider with lights, and anything else. You can still see and hear the presentations and it’s not difficult; if you sign up for a half day, SCHB will give you a 16 GB USB memory. Contact Joe Sabol program@acs-schb.org for available times.

When you attend SCHB’s sessions, make sure you get one of SCHB’s yellow ribbons to affix to your badge – just ask the greeter or any SCHB officer. Ribbons will also be available at SCHB’s Expo Booth 1325..

The Expo opens Sunday 6:00 – 8:30 PM and SCHB is the anchor for the Small Business Row, booth 1325. Stop by when you are in the expo and “discuss business” with other SCHB members. Do you have time to take a shift in the booth? If you spend few hours at the booth explaining SCHB and distributing literature, SCHB will give you a 16 GB USB memory. SCHB was nominated for a ChemLuminary award Outstanding Collaboration Between a Local Section and Division. Posters from nominees and reception will be Tuesday 8:00 – 9:00 PM and the awards will be announced beginning at 9:00 PM, Palace Hotel.
